Not many people have a clue what Bebo.com is, but it is the largest social network that specifically targets the UK and Ireland.

They have millions of users on their network, but most of them are from the UK. If you have products, services or opportunities that are specifically directed to residents of these areas, Bebo.com can be a great place for social marketing!

Bebo users are relatively friendly for marketing. You may find that Facebook marketing tactics on Bebo work, because they are very similar in structure.

The best way to market on Bebo is to create a profile page for your business or product first.  Then, just like with Facebook and Twitter, the most successful profiles are the ones that  actually offer something back to the community.

For instance, freebies, contests, games and other useful widgets will to win over more Beboer’s than a marketing message every time.

Remember, when it comes to Social Media Marketing, no one wants to interact with an advertisement.  They want to interact with you!

With every business, whether is is out of your home or a Brick and Mortar storefront, requires a certain amount of discipline and commitment.  With the introduction of Web 2.0 and Social Networks, people are easily distracted with other eye candy not unlike insects that are drawn to a Bug Zapper!

I have often found myself starting down the right path with good intentions, only to end up looking at the latest “Flashy” thing instead.

This brings me to my discussion point in this article on IPA or Income Producing Activities.  While it may seem somewhat juvenile, keeping a worksheet or list of things that you did during the day that were IPA’s will quickly help you to isolate how you are spending your time when you are building your business.

If you are TRULY trying to build a profitable business that continues to grow, ensure that the majority of your tasks you do during the time you have allocated each day is ONLY spent on IPA’s.  For example, if you are doing market research, continuing education or notifying Social Networks about your business, those are all IPA’s.  If you were to get on Facebook as an example, mention your business one time and then spend the next hour asking others to help you with your Crops on “Farmville”, that is NOT an IPA.

Set goals for yourself in your business on how many hours per week you are going to commit to it.  If your goal is only 10 hours to start, make sure that those 10 hours spent are ONLY Income Producing Activities.  You will be surprised how quickly your business will thrive by your allotted time being spent this way.

I have included an IPA Worksheet that is pretty generic for any business, but can be adapted to your needs.  If you will use it to track your activities, you WILL build your business and it WILL PROFIT!

I have been spending a great deal of time lately with Facebook building new relationships and finding other Business Entrepreneurs out there, to share my opportunity with.  Recently, one of my new connections put me onto a new network that in my opinion, is like Facebook for Network Marketers.  It is called SWOM

On SWOM, you will find a familiar Dashboard, Groups and other areas very similar to other Social Network sites, except, in your profile, they want you list and promote your Business Opportunities.  Unlike Facebook, where you never know if you are going to be banished by your High School friends for talking about your opportunity or not, SWOM encourages it.  The only people on that network are Business Owners and Opportunity Seekers.  What else could an MLM’er ask for?

To make things better, you also have to opportunity to earn an income on the others you refer to SWOM.  You also earn cash for simply participating in the community!
